likwit
This is a big problem which I experience all the time, with all of my self-created unattended XP CDs...After a little use and few reboots of my fresh Windows installation Windows installer gets totally messed up. My newest install (nLite CD just created yesterday) lasted for a few hours, I had like 3 programs installed and Windows Installer gave up on me.... The service still runs, but I can't install anything anymore.... The dependancies box also becomes grey, for whatever that explains. Here's some sys info:Windows XP SP2 slipstreamed (Dutch) created with nLiteServices (A=automatic, M=manual, D=disabled)Automatic updates=ADHCP client=APlug and Play=AWindows Management Instrumentation=AWorkstation=AWindows Installer=MCryptographic services=DTerminal Services=DBackground tranfer thingie=MDCOM server process=DWIA=DWindows Firewall=D(The As are ALL services that I allow to run automatically)Guess those are the most important things which could be related to my problem. Unfortunately I don't have nLite installed yet so I can't give you guys a list of what Windows components I removed, but I'll do so later.
