(many) time ago i read about a nice trick: how to send a file to notepad and to reshacker from a rightclick-menu entrie.

worked well until a found that there was problem with folder_spaces... here is the correct one; you need to place ResHacker.exe on %WINDIR%\System32 (optional helpfiles to place there are ResHacker.cnt and ResHacker.hlp), then add this regtweak:

Windows Registry Editor Version 5.00

;right click notepad
[HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\*\shell\Bloc de Notas]
[HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\*\Shell\Bloc de Notas\Command]
@="Notepad.exe \"%1\""

;right click reshacker
[HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\*\shell\Resource Hacker]
[HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\*\shell\Resource Hacker\Command]
@="ResHacker.exe \"%1\""

nice reshacking! :hello:

Nice tweak.

But this clutters up the right-click menu - too many options. These can be done in another way too - by having these options available from the "SendTo" sub-menu of right-click, instead.

yes, but wmp10 add more entries to rightclick so i've deleted them and added mine, also sendto> can become really slooow if it waits to load all the files on that dir

@amigafan yes, of course, it was treated on this forum (exactly the same thread were i got the first tweak) but i can't find it as before...

i can say you that you only need to combine the first tweak together with CDR.EXE tool from here, and a .cmd file so... rightclick entrie launches the cmd that calls a commandline to eject X: unit

I've seen an XP installation that had an option to close CD drive trays from the context menu. Does anyone know how to do this?
Ha ha...

Ain't it interesting we had this thing posted on MSFN some months ago...

quoting from this topic - link

8.

Get a graphical way to close your CD-drive's tray (like the "Eject" option)

First get "cdr.exe" from the link in MSFN's official uA CD guide, or from attachment here.

Then put it into "$OEM$\$$\System32" folder on your CD. Then put this registry tweak as part of your tweaks.
