There's any number of apps you can open at the command-line (or "Run" box).

Just open CMD and type "PATH" - then all EXE's in those folders can be run directly.

Typing these, will bring up this:

control - Control Panel

iexplore - IE

msimn - OE

wmplayer - WMP

mplayer2 - old WMP

winword - MS Word (if its installed)

.......unending list!

at the Run command line or even the command prompt you can type in

control - launches control panel.

Better yet if you type in

control filename.cpl - will launch a specific control panel applet.

control<spacebar>filename.cpl

i.e.

control inetcpl.cpl - launches internet properties

control appwiz.cpl - launches add remove programs etc..

do a search for *.cpl, most of them should reside in %windir%\system32

:hello:
