Norton Internet Security 2005, Silent Install Meth

Featured Replies

Has anyone come up with an idea how to silently install Norton Internet Security?

I hv follow a link to a old topic on Norton Internet Security 2004, but it seems over

complicated, does anyone have a simpler solution.

I heard that u can remove a particular dll file so that i will not ask for the serial during startup.

but no solution yet on how to activate the prog.

Thank in Advance

No discussion allowed on deleting "the file" please - that will get interpreted as "circumventing activation".

But yeah, the "over complicated" method does seem to work.

i don't even know what the "file is"

I simply need a solution on installing Norton Internet Security 2005 that works.

Is this the over complicated method?

EDIT: ~link~ NVM, I'm a moron

Can some one link me to the "Over Complicated Method" for NIS 2004. I've searched all over and can't seem to find it. Maybe I need new glasses.

here's my RunOnceEx method:

REG ADD %KEY%\086 /VE /D "Norton Internet Security 2005" /f

REG ADD %KEY%\086 /V 1 /D "%CDROM%\Software\NIS2005\SYMSETUP.EXE /O REBOOT=ReallySuppress /qb" /f

it will ask for the serial only after the system is restarted

it will ask for the serial only after the system is restarted

You can add your serial via this reg file:

[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Symantec\CCPD-LC\KStore\00000082\0000000e\0000000a]
"Key"="xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx"
