WMI problem

Hi I am having problem in the advance tab, in the local area connection,when I click at this tab it said windows cannot display the properties of this connection.The windows management instrumentation (WMI) information might be corrupted and so.... ,I have not use the xp system restore as I have disable it long ago. Please help me in this problem,I have been to MS. site and search for this topic but it was too technical written I am unable to know what it mean. Thanks

services.msc,start Windows Management Instrumentation service,then delete all files in C:\Windows\System32\Wbem\Repository,done.
