Dual boot xp+xp?

Is it possible to have two copies of Xp on the one computer, I installed xp2 and am having a few probs even though I tried rolling back sp2. IT does not affect all programs and instead of formating/re-installing I was going to install a second copy of xp with just sp1 and have a tinker.IF it can be done do either copies share anything at all?

if you have 2 HD or 2 partitions you can install xp on C: and D: for example and dual boot from both, then you would have to run setup from both OS for some programs to work.
