Huge Security Hole, any Comments?

Featured Replies

i came across this article and wondered if anyone had comments to make on it's validity.

I understand what it's saying and it would seem that anyone who does not connect to the internet via a router/firewall and gets an IP directly on connection, ie DSL, cable or dialup modem could be opening their shared folders to the world despite the SP2 firewall being enabled. The only sure way to secure the network shares is to edit printer and file sharing to settings other than subnet..!!!
