Pbl : Full screen moviz & Display freq > 85hz

Hello everyone,

Long ago, I have noticed that I can't see movies as I would see them when I play them in full screen since I bought a 17" screen (I had 15").

My problem is whenever I play a movie in full screen, picture quality and frame rate become low.

I downloaded the latest drivers for my graphic card (Intel 810) assuming that the problem is the driver. but no improvement.

Then I suggested maybe the problem is on codecs, I went to download the latest codecs and they changed nothing.

I googled & invistigated and I found a workarround, If I wish to play a movie in full screen I must first reduce display frequency to at least 75hz (60hz is the best).

But yesterday I was surprised I played a movie in full screen using 85hz perfectly without any problem. The Only Differrence is that I was using Windows 2000.

My question is why windows 2000 plays movies without any problem while windows xp does ?

are you playing them with the same player. Try playing them in VideoLan

Yes, I made many tries using different video players with many different codecs.

I googled I found that same people report that they have the same problem and the only way to play movies in full screen to set your display frequency below 85hz
