rustycaps Posted September 16, 2004 Posted September 16, 2004 Or to put it more simply, when you hold the mouse over the icons in the taskbar, in pops up a text message above stating what program the icon is associated with, but with the taskbar on auto-hide, after a while lately, I've noticed that the text sometimes appears behind the taskbar and isn't fully visible. The way I've found to solve it temporarily is to change the tooltip text size in the display properties to 9 then back to 8 and it's fine for a while.I don't know if this is an XPSP2 issue or not, or if posted already - yeah, people will say to use search, but I thought I'd post it while I thought of it.
cancer10 Posted September 16, 2004 Posted September 16, 2004 I guess u r using MCAfee as ur virus scanner
big_gie Posted September 16, 2004 Posted September 16, 2004 It does happen sometimes on my computer too but since Windows XP (no sp1)... I'm using SP2 now. I think it could be a focus problem. I click on the desktop, then it should work. Or click on the taskbar, or anywhere else. Change the window who got focus and maybe it will work.
rustycaps Posted September 16, 2004 Author Posted September 16, 2004 No, cancer10, I'm not - the icon on the left is for Winwall (desktop changer).I just used TweakUI to disable the tooltip animation, to see if that helps in any way.
