Windows XP Don't see my CD-ROM

Hi all

If i boot my system with a disk in the drive windows sees it just fine, until I remove the disk and put it back in.

Then I get format not reconized or disk is bad error on my DVD player and on the CD-Rom drive it just open to a blank page. Ive tried to move cables switch IDE around and new drives. Help whats up!!!

Login your safemode, run devmgmt.msc and delete all of the drivers listed in cd-rom catagory then restart and reinstall your dvd driver.

have you tried using your cd drive on other computer? just to isolate the problem..
