September 11, 200421 yr dude, don't show your install key!anyways, you can copy the entire contents of that cd to a folder on your hard drive. Lets say C:\xpcdnow, delete the winnt.sifNow you need to remake the cd again. THe easiest way I can think of is to download Nlitehttp://nuhi.msfn.org/then use it to "make an Iso". Basically just select your XPCD folder and make an iso, you don't have to use Nlite to reduce your windows unless you want too.Now burn your iso. use it to install.
September 11, 200421 yr one problem is do we know for sure if there are anymore modified files. And will those modified file cause more problems later. and legally he is not allow to use an xp cd from another system, for his new one. Now realistically... it is a different story.I personally don't use nlite. Wouldn't it be easier to just purchase a WindowsXP Pro from Walmart, Kmart, Compusa, Circuit City, or whatever online store you like.
