Cyber.TF
I have followed all the guides and what I end up with is the following error...Is there any way to get around this?
Astalavista
purchase a retail version of xp or get a corp license
Cyber.TF
This is a retail version of the XP upgrade. I would much rather use it for my unattended than deal with the "crack"ing involved after putting the service packs on.
diesel_98a
did u remove the upgrade folders out of the I386 folder on the cd?
Cyber.TF
yes i did and i've checked all the posts about the setupp.ini file and still having the same problem. I've given up at this point unless someone has a brilliant idea that has not been discussed here.
battleangel3222
purchase a retail version of xp or get a corp licenseummm I dont think that has anything to do with the Corporate version. Im not exactly sure myself, but where does it suggest anything having to do with it? All it speaks of is upgrade version.
Astalavista
he owns a windows xp *upgrade* cd. in the TERMS OF AGREEMENT, he must have a retail version of windows 98 or 2000 to be able to upgrade to XP.legally speaking he should and must not (alter) HACK the upgrade cd to be able install XP with out the specified operating system.I can post the legal agreement of microsoft if you wish.In my opinion you can go to Office Depot, Kmart, Walmart, Compusa,Circuit City in your local area and pick one up. Or order online whichis cheaper.any mention of cracking or hack the moderator will have this thread closed.good luck
