Hi

I want to stop my brother at school from installing and playing games on computer

I will install a fresh windows with office and other essential programs then lock the computer from installing other software which will turn game maniac brother into a student

But how ?(in windows 9x)

Fortres 101

Maybe that. It's shareware. The junior high that I used to attend used that on their Win95 installs.

It's not foolproof, though. If you have a boot disk, you can (obviously) mount your installation and disable it from loading.

Just set a BIOS password. Whats wrong with that?

Press delete when you turn on computer, clikck "Set User/supervisor" password.

Supervisor password is the second one you can use if your brother changes your. :hello:

Which windows version is this?

Win95 and Win98 original retail editions had a tool on the CD called "PolEdit" for exactly these kindof things (in a folder called "ResourceKit", if I remember right).
