Lightbringer- Posted September 8, 2004 Share Posted September 8, 2004 Is that possible using any softwares out there?I know about ram disk pro ( which I got) but I suppose that the RAM Disk has to be made in real DOS mode first .....Then the RAM disk has to be loaded and the registry copied to it before Windows attempts to load....Maybe loading the RAM disk and copying the Windows Registry / user profile to it before Windows XP boots? - Using autoexec.batIs it possible or some farfetched idea?P.S:- Loading the profile on a RAMdisk.....It would be so fast compared to the HD from where the registry is read from ....Any light will on this matter will be appreciated. oftentired Posted September 9, 2004 Share Posted September 9, 2004 I messed around with the RamDisk as instructed at the Nutty DSL site and had little luck with it. However, I searched the net and found this little thing which does the trick for it.
