gcwhite1
I would like to first apologise for this post... it seems alot of folks are having issue with this and I have read most of the post here regaurding this but could not find a solution to my problem. I have a HighPoint RAID controller built into my SOYO FIRE DRAGON MB and I am (obviously) trying to get an ISO distro for XP PRO (w/ SP2 slipstreamed) to complete unattended using XPCREATE. I get to thru the whole thing but I do notice that during the process that XPCREATE cannot find a file and after it completes with the creation of the ISO and I test it out on my VM it gives me this - The file hpt3xx.sys could not be found. Press any key to continue. - And once I do that it cancels the install. I have also made sure I have the right info in my SIF file because I took a hint from the XPCREATE.CAB file refered to here.I have included my log file and my SIF file. GreenMachine
Welcome to MSFN, gcwhite1!It looks to me like the problem is that you have included your SATA/RAID files in the CD source, and not in the FILESCD (in this case, FILESCD\$OEM$\$1\DRIVERS\006_hpt3xx) directory. Note that you shold be starting with an unadultered Microsoft CD. Give that a shot, and post back your results.EDIT:: If you are refering to TXTSETUP.SIF when you say SIF, XPCREATE will edit that file: you should not.EDIT AGAIN:: Happy Birthday, Old Man! gcwhite1
I did start over, and I did get it completed without issue (atleast on my VM). Howver I had to move my BOOT.ini file over from my old DIR to make it work. Any reason why. XPCREATE would not continue without it.Again thanks for such a wounderful app and a great forum. GreenMachine
There is a known bug with the BOOTIMGFILE value in XPCREATE.INI that causes this. It'll be fixed next release. I found it was not enough of a show stopper to make a special release.

GreenMachine
A couple weeks of testing (and finishing off the summer), and I will make it public. Until then, I think we have "workarounds" for all the problems so far.
