Registry keys can all go. aim.exe recreates the keys when you run them and they aren't there.

Download AIM 5.2 from somewhere (like oldversion.com) and start from there. You can start with throwing aimres.dll in ResHacker and deleting images that you don't need (talk, buddy icons, etc.) to save space.

I don't remember exactly, but there is a file in the AIM95 directory (admin.ocm?) editable with notepad.exe that loads up extra modules/junk like talk/file transfer. Remove those strings and delete the corresponding file in the directory. Play around with it. I did this a while ago and cut down my install to less than 2.5 MB or so.
