I've format the system and install WinXP Professional with ServicePack2 SP2 all OK but the driver is the windows default.

Well I've download the last driver the 8.03 I think BUT after reboot the system is KO!!

incredible the keyboard and the touchpad don't work!!!!!

I reboot in safe mode and all is OK.

I uninstall the driver and the system is OK!!!

The problem may be is the ATI's driver....

It seems that this new ATI driver isn't compatible with SP2... you'll probably have to wait till the new drivers will be available... :}

Wrong. It's compatible and works perfectly. Even older pre-SP2 versions that I have which are archived work perfectly. The problem isn't with the ATI driver.

The latest version for the actual driver is 6.xx or something, I don't recall from the IBM site.

grampasso: Go complain to Acer's technical support about it or see if they have newer versions of the driver. Look, I even did the work that you could've done by going to Acer's site. [link].

Thanks for the info :)
