BATCH file

people here always keep on talking about batch file but i have never been able to find where to start making it, i've recently started making my unattended i did winnt.sif and svcpack.inf when i reach the application switshes which is used for aplication installation i can't advance!

any link please don't give me the step 3 i've read all of the help i need to know how to start start.cmd and other batch file!

Lots of people have posted theirs on the site in many threads. You can look at them for ideas. Unless yuo don't know basic DOS commands and such, in which case you'd have to learn that too. A google search can find lots of good things

i have basic idea about dos command but i was reading the help i followed it step by steo untill i reached the application instalation all what i see " add this ..... to you batch file " but how do we start making that and where to put it maybe i missed an important page when i started if somebody can give me a usefull link i would appreciate it so much

Those "add this to your batchfile" usually have to be adapted, at least to have the paths match the ones you use in your setup.

Perhaps you can paste the stuff you wanted to have, what you have right now and such, then we can figure out better where your difficulty is.

If you are making your own batch file all ya do is open work and when you save it change .txt to any files and save it as batch.cmd when you save it you will notice it has a different icon. You can then right click it and click edit and add ya bits in then just click save

RunOnceEx might comlplicate things too much for nothing if he has problems writing batchfiles. I much prefer GUIRunOnce personally...
