How to clear the search bar and other items

I'm trying to figure out how to erase/delete my old searches, and how I can stop XP from remembering things I've searched for( i.e. when I log onto Ebay and search for something XP remembers items I've searched for. It gets annoying when you have too many things saved.

I would appreciate the help.

in internet explorer go to Tools > internet options

and Click clear history. next click the Content tab and then the Autocomplete button, in the box that opens you can click a button to clear the old searches you have made, you can also turn it off and stop it logging any more.

Thanks a lot. I knew what I needed to do, just couldn't find it. I never clicked on content. Appreciate the help!
