Rico.JohnnY
hey..i want to know if there is a approach to disable a device such as network adapter, display adapter according to its infID,PCI bus ID or somethingi do it because i have multiply network adapters installed on my pc, and some are not used temporarily. i want to disable them to get rid of the annoying icons shown all the time in the system tray.Any constructive suggestions will be highly appreciated
XtremeMaC
i assume u want to do this unattendedly?1st thing that pops in my mind is to remove the driver from cd2nd u can search the registry to find the ID and on that substring create a reg_dword value named ShowIcon and set it to 0. --> this won't disable, will just get rid of the icon3rd attempt failed.... Rico.JohnnY
thx for your reply.what i want to restate is i just want to temporarily disable one or two of them from the OS,but not removing them.So when i want to reuse them, i can easily enable them from the "Network Connections" by just one click.any way to implement that?
