After doing an unattended installation of XP Pro + slipstreamed SP2, if I go to add/remove Windows components, under Networking Services, there's a "Internet Gateway Device Discovery and Control Client" which is part of UPnP/SSDP which I don't want. I use the winnt.sif on a floppy method. Shouldn't netoc=Off cause nothing to be installed, or do I have to set it to On and disable everything in [NetOptionalComponents]? And if so, which one is it, and what is the "Beacon" mentioned in the help file?

Thanks,

Josh

[Components]
netoc=On
[NetOptionalComponents]
beacon=0

This will not install beacon.

netoc=Off still install beacon. Check [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Setup\Oc Manager\Subcomponents] beacon.
