Hey, i work as the webmanager at Saint Benedicts School in Derby and am currently setting up the new webserver.

Im trying to set up all the items in the title together. i first started with IIS 6 and php5.. after encountering many problems i finally got it working..

(looking around the internet i dont seem to be the only person having problems with version 5 of php)

(NOTE: if people are having trouble setting up php5 with IIS 6. change the php.ini file as follows:

;cgi.force_redirect = 1

TO

cgi.force_redirect = 0

remember to leave out the ; )

Anyway back to my problem

when coming to install and set up mysql and phpmyadmin the following day. after configuring mysql, moving around .dll files, and configuring the my.ini file.. and also adding a virtual directory to IIS 6 pointing to the phpmyadmin directory. my php files now wont work at all.. nevermind getting phpmyadmin to work... when loading http://localhost/index.php or http://localhost/phpmyadmin the page starts to load as normal but then seems to just slow down and stop. not even giving an error message.

After pulling all my hair out and being bald at the age of 18, i was just wondering if anyone else could help..... PLEASE!!

Thanks in advance...

Rob

Does your web host or your web server compatible with MySQL and PHP? And also witht the PHP u should try the update PHP 7.3 or 7.4.Very efficent. And easy.
