Hi all, I'm a newbie here and not to clued up with networking issues. But here goes :

I have 3 pc's running of switch.

Computer A = XP Pro, SP1, ADSL usb modem.

Computer B = XP Pro, SP2. DOTNET

Computer C = XP Pro, SP2

before installing SP2 on B,C I had full connectivity to and from all 3 pc's B,C could access internet and share files between each other.

I installed SP2 on B ,C and after this I can only do the following

A,B,C can access internet

B,C can access A and have full file sharing

A cannot access B,C even though the computers show in network manager - Error message = You might not have permision to use this network resource

B+C also give same errors.

I have firewall disabled for B+C pc's

Simple filesharing enabled (tried disabling it as well)

Can some1 please help or post a link that explains a repair in laymans terms

Thanks

If running XP SP2, try the following. May be that the way SP2 defaulted the file/printer sharing, you were hosed because user accounts are different..

Bring up a Explorer Window.

Go to Tools -> Folder Options

Go to the View Tab

Scroll down to the bottom and click the check box next to

Use Simple File Sharing

Click Apply.

This puts XP back to the way most people are used to for file/printer sharing.
