I have winfax 10.2 installed on my computer. I am looking for a better alternative.

I also have a little problem with my winfax 10.2

when i try to change the number of rings before it automatically receives a incoming fax it auto shuts down the window. so i am stuck with the default 2 rings.

I have windows xp w/ service pack2 installed.

OK, here's a solution:

You probably know this already, but the faxing features integrated into XP Pro are pretty good. Free. as well! If you haven't yet had a look at it, I'd recommend you do so. Go to "Add/Remove" Windows Components, and install "Fax Services".

If that isn't sufficient, try upgrading to WinFAX 11 (the best, according to me). If it still is unsatisfactory, I'm sure you'll get a some more replies here regarding other alternative products.

Yes, there is - that's what people who got betas of it via P2P networks said (no discussion of details to that, please...).

You didn't really think Symantec was sitting quiet for such a long time after releasing v10, did you?

ok, bec. i went to symantec and asked the tech support for help and they couldn't help me either. I will wait for winfax 11 to come out.

I use bvrp fax software. Simple to use and works with distinctive ring.

I'm still using my trusty WinFax 8.02 with XP/SP2. The only reason I haven't upgraded is that it still works and it has TalkWorks 2.0 which I use as my voice mail-box.
