The Leon Hikari Posted August 8, 2004 Share Posted August 8, 2004 Ok, my copy of XP has a custom bootscreen, and when I upgrade it to SP2, it says that NTFS.sys or whatever is corrupt. Now, I know that it manually creates a boot.ini. How exactly would I remove the thing that makes boot.ini have /kernel=oemkernel.exe? Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Now, when it makes the boot.ini, it adds the data for the boot.ini to boot windows XP with that extra boot screen. I want to remove that extra line or so for it to boot to that bootscreen, so it'll boot to the normal bootscreen. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
