Bittaneva Posted August 4, 2004 Posted August 4, 2004 Hello every body! I am currently experimenting with an alternative to using a batch file to launch the various installers. Anyone who has installed Internet Explorer will have seen, when first logging in after the reboot, a window in the top left hand corner of the screen. I read some thing about this. It use the rundll32.exe to launch the various installers. Anybody here has got any idea how this exactly works.
sleepnmojo Posted August 4, 2004 Posted August 4, 2004 That would be the runonceex. There are hundreds of threads that talk about it. Check the unattended.msfn.org site for more info.
Bittaneva Posted August 5, 2004 Author Posted August 5, 2004 Hi! thanks for your reply. But what I mean wasn't runonce thingy. Please check the attached document. Thanks custom.doc
prathapml Posted August 5, 2004 Posted August 5, 2004 Excuse me, but the RunOnceEX method (also called INF/Windows-Update method) is exactly what you are looking for. Your attached (.doc above) contains info about some 2 things which don't work as yet - MSFN guides got those things working as well!
Bittaneva Posted August 8, 2004 Author Posted August 8, 2004 HEy, thanks for da reply prathapml! I am new to this site. Can you please tell me how can I get more info regarding my topic. It would be really kind of you.
