i've had win2k installed for 2 days now and all is well except for the network cards, both of them

after about an hour they shut down.

here i am sitting surfing, downloading and walla! disconnected from dc++, miranda goes offline, digitally imported winamp radio goes offline, even my lan connection to my other comps goes offline, and i have to reboot.

why? any of you experienced and solved this?

I would check any security software closing down external connections.

Would also check the nic drivers, cables, hub/switches etc.

This is what i did to fix (atleast its been 16 hours now) the problem.

I switched cables with the NIC's.
