Hello to all!

I've got a big problem. I try to create an account @ T-12, but it isn't created.

Here's my cmdlines.txt:

[COMMANDS]
"konten.cmd"
"cmdlines.cmd"
"regedit /s t12.reg"

my konten.cmd

net user "Thorsten" "" /add
net localgroup Administrators "Thorsten" /add
net accounts /maxpwage:unlimited
REGEDIT /S autologon.reg
EXIT

I really hope you can help me!

Thank you!

Thorsten

I assume konten.cmd is in $OEM$?

try putting a PAUSE just before the EXIT, and test again. See if any error messages are displayed in the DOS box.

Hello again!

I get an error message:

The user was successfully created but could not be added into the USERS local group.

And now... I don't know any further!

Does anyone have a hint??? :)

You didn't need to reinstall Windows just to test konten.cmd, just execute it manually :)

You also need to check that 'Administrators' could be translated differently on a german language version of Windows XP

I forget to mention, that I allready changed the line

net localgroup Administrators "Thorsten" /add
to
net localgroup Administratoren Thorsten /add

Administratoren is the word for Administrators.

Is it right that I get the groups if i use the command

net localgroup???

But the error comes up after the first line.

All the other lines do perfect!

Shouldn't be a problem with VPC. Have you tried executing each line at a time? I thought Administrator in german had that O with the two dots over it?

I don't understand

Have you tried executing each line at a time?
Sorry, but I think my english is not the best at all.

Many days have gone since I left school! :)

Do I have a sense of deja vu here, or is it just me?

That's the same problem I had - I followed the instructions as per the unattended autologon page and it didn't add the user to the admin group, though it did create the user - and I did try running the commands through CMD using "fred" and "1234" as username and password (without the quotes), and it worked fine. My only assumption (yeah, I know, make an a** out of you and me), is that the NetUser.exe file I had residing in the $oem$\system32 folder had something to do with it, but I'm yet to test it, as I'm waiting to do a full SP2 slipstream install.

Don't ask me why, but now it works properly!

I just copied the Win XP CD to the harddisk again and then everything worked fine.

Thank you all, guys, for your help!!!!!!!

If I didn't mention till now: GREAT FORUM!!!!!!! :)

Respect!

Greeting from Germany
