john1973 Posted July 26, 2004 Posted July 26, 2004 Hi there all I am new to this all, so let me start with the wrong question, in the wrong forum :-)I have never made a bootable cd/dvd...Now I've got myself a new dvd-burner... So I thought... Let's make an install dvd...The first question came up in my head...If my pc is empty (my harddisks are empty, fully written with zeros, and then formated in ntfs format).I will restart my pc, with ctrl/alt/delete... with my floppy (and hardisk) boot disabled, and my install dvd in my dvd reader... Will windows startup from dvd? I know that an empty pc can bootup from an window cdrom, 'cause windows comes with cdrom drivers... but does it also work with dvd...Well, my first rule breaking :-)I probably my last.Till next time dudes
