Whats faster install from cd or hd?

hi

i have setup my dvd to run applications from hd and wanted to change it to run from dvd,i did a small test and found out that its much slower when it runs from dvd.

takes about 1 hour to install 4.0gb of programs from hd including all hotfixes and programs on anew computer(p4 256min,decent hd)

anybody tested this?

it should be faster, cuz u dont have 2 copy all the files over during text setup
