yabbal Posted July 13, 2004 Posted July 13, 2004 I read that the file windows\system32\wpa.dbl can be copied before a re-install of windows then copied back so that you dont need to re-activate windows(on the same machine).Has anybody tried this? Thanks.
pauledavey Posted July 14, 2004 Posted July 14, 2004 Yep, it does work. But don't think you can nick a copy of the file from your mates activated copy of WIndows and transfer it to a different machine. It doesn't work.
chezy666 Posted July 18, 2004 Posted July 18, 2004 i think the hardware config has to be similar for that to work.
Alanoll Posted July 18, 2004 Posted July 18, 2004 has to be almost exactly similar and the HDD can't have different serial numbers
