willvg Posted July 12, 2004 Posted July 12, 2004 Ok so I am going to do an unattened installation without a cd/dvd. Can I keep the unatteded answer file a unattended.txt or do i have to change the file type. And where to I put that file in my xp cd folder.?
Alanoll Posted July 12, 2004 Posted July 12, 2004 without CD it doesn't matter what it's called or where you put it.When you call setup, there is usually a switch for teh answer file...winnt32.exe /unattend:C:\unattend.txtand you just change the C:\unattend.txt to whereever your file is.
