so I'm running a script that does the following, after the XP install

install sp1 (if necessary), reboot

install directx9, reboot

install wmp9, reboot

install hotfixes, reboot

i'd like to optimize this a bit and cut down on the reboots. i'd like to install dx9, wmp9, hotfixes, and then reboot...

is this ok? i'm asking because some of the hotfixes are fixing issues in wmp/directx, and i'm not sure if i should reboot before installing them. thanks!

thanks for the tip. i can't integrate it onto the cd because this is being done on brand new computers out of the box...and computers for repair that come into my shop...i need to detect all of the updates and then install what is not already present...everything works great i just wanted to optimize it a bit
