How to change a folder's template (sub folder)

when you right click a folder in winxp. you see a 'customize' tab.

under that, you can choose certain templates for the folder's different contents.

i have a directory named 'PIC' where i store all my pictures.

under that, i have and add alot of sub directories all containing picture files.

i'd the directory 'pic' and all the subfolders in that 'pic' folder to have template of 'pictures' so default view is thumbnails..

but when i choose 'picture' template and check the 'also apply this template to all subdirectories' ,, it doesn't work on the subdirectories.. rather on only the main directory!!!

anyone know how i can make this work instead of doing this on all subdirectories.. i'd really appreciate it!!

thank you very much
