Security Update Microsoft Virtual Machine (816093) is not in the Current Hotfixes list, as the MS Virtual Machine is no longer included in SP1A. You can add this hotfix to SVC-HF2 if you have slipstreamed SP1 and not SP1A.

Okay I downloaded Q816093.exe from microsoft, I put it into SVC-HF2 (although it says 'Self-Extracting Cabinet' where all the others in that folder have a different Icon and say 'Win32 Cabinet Self-Extractor')

and durring the setup it displays a dialog box for 816093 much like if you put a /? switch after it, but doesn't load

Looks like you downloaded the wrong file ... The one you need is about 5 Mb, and ONLY available from Windows Update Catalog, there is no direct download link from Microsoft.

Then how do I get it? (I tried just taking the one from my SUS server)

Go to Windows Update Catalog, list hotfixes for XP SP1, and select it. Look in Windows Update.log after download for the actual URL

just to let other people know (or to make sure I'm doing the correct thing) the file I downloaded was called msjavwu.exe and was 5,319,000 bytes.

That's the one I use as well: must be right.
