leedolman Posted June 23, 2004 Posted June 23, 2004 Hi there,I have an AMD Athlon 64 3200+ and the reported speed in system properties is now 990Mhz (it should report 2.02Ghz).Does anybody have any idea why this would be?would it be because I have Cool 'n Quiet enabled?I don't overclock my machine so I haven't touched any bios settings. I have, however, been applying registry tweaks like there's no tomorrow! Would an errornous reg tweak be behind this?CheersLee
MavereX Posted June 23, 2004 Posted June 23, 2004 when you boot your computer what speed does it say. If it says 900Mhz too, then you probably accidently touched your dip switches on your motherboard.
Bâshrat the Sneaky Posted June 24, 2004 Posted June 24, 2004 I'd say because Cool 'n Quiet is enabled.
leedolman Posted June 24, 2004 Author Posted June 24, 2004 My BIOS is up to date, I forgot to check reported speed on startup but directx diagnostic reports 2.2ghzI'm gonna guess its either cool n quiet or dodgy registry tweaksI will let you know
