Need to auto-index word documents

I would like to find a way to auto-generate a page containing links to individual Microsoft Word documents contained in a directory and it's sub-directories. Nothing fancy needed as descriptions, just a great big HTML page of links (as there are many thousands of documents). This will have to be re-done at least once a day to account for changes. Any ideas, especially pre-made programs appreciated!!
