Missing icons in task bar

After installed Win XP SP2 ,when login in to Internet (ADSL), the Connection icon does not appear in the task bar tray at the bottom right of the screen. Any comments

Start>control panel>Network Connections>ADSL Connection>Properties> check the box that says show connection icon in notification area

Trued but didn't work. Any other methods to bring back the icon to task bar?

start>right click go to properties>task bar tab>Hide Inactive icons>customize
