Error while accessing remote registry keys!

Hi..

i am trying to access the registry of a win98 remotly and i get it conencted... however, when i am trying to access the HKLM\Software key i get:

"error while opening key"

Why? There is no permission i can set on the Win98 registry.... tried the native Win98 regedit.exe also... same thing.

I would try and run Scanregw.exe to check for any errors first. Also go to http://www.rosecitysoftware.com/Reg1Aid/ and try using Registry First Aid to check for errors.
