Ponyboy Posted July 4, 2002 Posted July 4, 2002 i find this really annoying. whenever i start up windows explorer in winXP it always starts in the 'My Documents' folder. Is there a way to change this?
Aaron Posted July 4, 2002 Posted July 4, 2002 Its set to open up in My Documents. You can edit the shortcut to make it open elsewheree.g. your shortcut properties says the following:%SystemRoot%\explorer.exechange it to:%SystemRoot%\explorer.exe c:\And click on OK, next time you start Windows Explorer it will view the C:\ drive, but the folder list doesn't appear. There are extra switches you can put in the shortcut that I believe will make the folder pane appear, which is discussed here: http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?...b;en-us;Q307856
