Dustinwmew Posted June 11, 2004 Posted June 11, 2004 I have a .ISO of my unattended XP and like to test it before burning it, but I have the unattended set for files to go to difient drives (C: windows, P: programs, D: data) how can I set VMware up for that. This is a FULL Unattended XP.My computer is setup with the above drives (and more), so it will work when I get in to the real setup but i need help on the V-setup.do you think I should set the unattended so the user can chage things from in side setup. (I am only useing a unattended so to not have to do a lot of regedit, and setups)
big_gie Posted June 11, 2004 Posted June 11, 2004 I've put partitionning programs on my cd so I could boot from them and change hd partitions...
Dustinwmew Posted June 12, 2004 Author Posted June 12, 2004 what were can you use to chage the drive leter?edit :: I installed on the v-comper, then set up the partisons (C: D: P:), then tryed to install ones more, the XP installer reads them as C:, D:, and E:)... is there any way to make the installer see the light (that E: is P:)?
FuzzBall Posted June 14, 2004 Posted June 14, 2004 I'm pretty sure that wouldnt work...WIndows maps the first HDD as c, second as d, third as e... and so onthen it maps the first optical-drive preceeding the last hdd letter assigned.hope that makes sense...
