ratts Posted June 10, 2004 Posted June 10, 2004 i have searched root drive for a uxtheme.dll file and doesnt exist. under services there isnt a service for themes. under display properties there isnt a section for themes. BUT, i can type in themes at run command and theme window appears. did i not install this during install of windows? what do i need to add this service running so i can add themes? i used uxtheme patch for my xp puters and works fine. is there a patch for 2000 pro?
LiquidSage Posted June 11, 2004 Posted June 11, 2004 theme support is available for 2000, but think of it as the limited 98/ME style themes. Uxtheme.dll GUI candy is only available for xp/2003. uxtheme.dll cannot be applied to 2000 because it does not exist for it. You should try desktop x or nextstart.
LaRcOs Posted June 11, 2004 Posted June 11, 2004 i agree with LiquidSage Id also like to suggest places like...www.stardock.netor www.wincustomize.netThere are STAX of interface moding software out there nowdays
