How do i install svcpack seperatly

Recommended Posts

I need to install the updates in my svcpack file.

Can i do that with a cmd file that runs the svcpackfile???

Or do i have to make a new cmd file that runs all updates in my update folder?

SVCPACK.INF is a stand alone item: there is not CMD file that calls it. Update that file correctly, put your .exe files in the I386\SVCPACK directory, and that should be fine. Most of the help you need is in the Unattended Guide.

Okay. maybe I should explain it another way :-)

I would like to install the updates after SP1 on a PC.

I already have the updates from making my unattended CD.

I would like to put the updates on a CD and install it from there.

I no that I can doubleclick them :-), but could I do it in an easyer way, so that they all install automaticly?

That's better. You could use a batch file to call all of the updates one at a time. There must be an example on the unatended site. Probably called something like INSTALLS.CMD or HOTFIXES.CMD. Plenty of them pasted all over this forum!
