Aaron Posted June 30, 2002 Posted June 30, 2002 Right, just had a 2 minute powercut 5 mins ago. I need to buy an UPSI've looked in a lot of computer catalogues selling UPS, but I'm still confused by them and don't exactly tell you how many computers it can support etc. What kind of UPS do I need to power two of my workstation machines? Check my PC specs for an idea on wattage. I need a reliable brand too, was told to avoid APC models at all costs.
XPerties Posted June 30, 2002 Posted June 30, 2002 I have a APC and if you look at the rated min it will cont to keep a pc on then divide that by how many pc's you have. Mine would cont to run a pc for 14 min. When I had a power outage I was safely allowed to shut down my server and my main pc and save anything I need.-Xperties
Aaron Posted June 30, 2002 Author Posted June 30, 2002 yes, but would it pump out enough power to power 2 PCs? You think it would be 7 mins if it was divided, but enough wattage to do so?
