Instead of logging in to os when i click on the login prompt i get saving settings message and pc goes back into log in mode, i cant even get to the desktop. Logging in through admin does not work too. The person who owns the computer told me that they removed some spyware with ad-aware and then asked them to reboot cause it could not remove all of the and now this is what I get Any suggestions

reinstall xp...

It was doing it also in safe mode and the Admin account. I gosted the drive and then done a repair and everything is fine now

I am having that same problem, how did you ghost the drive and run a repair?

what I done is put a second Hd in the system used ghost and made a copy in case something wrong happens and the used my xp cd and done a repair everything works well now
