Ok not a big deal but i though i'd run it by tou guys.

I recently descided to create a windows XP pro unattended install disk, slipstreamed with sp1a and my video, mb and other drivers. All seemed to go well, no problems with the configuration or slipstreaming. I used ISO buster, as per some facts the i read, to extract the boot image from the original XP CD and burnt it all to a CD/RW.

The bios recognises the drive and the boot sector and boots into setup. Things go according to normal until after all the SCSI drivers etc load and then i get the message

"Please insert the volume labeled Windows XP Proffessional

into drive a:"

and that's it, ive tried several different configurations, even without the slipstreamed drivers and sp1a still to no avail.

Does anyoe have any advice that might help?

it's because of those idents... or i think it is...

if not, it's because you've named your answerfile unattend.txt when it should be winnt.sif. if you install the os from a cd as an unattended install it HAS to be winnt.sif (and that decreases the options you can use in setup)
