XP Professional Welcome Screen

How do you disable the welcome screen in XP? I want to have the user be brought automatically to the desktop screen upon restart or reboot. I have tried going to

control panel > user accounts > change the way users log on off

but I get the error window "automation server can't create object"

and both options - use the welcome screen and use fast user switching

unchecked.

I have also gone to gpedit.msc to see if I can turn off the welcome screen

but found no option that works.

Grab TweakUI from the MS site (it'll be an MS "Powertoy"). It has a neat little section to configure auto-logon...(it's just a reg setting, but, TweakUI is much quicker and easier for us laymen).
