LS_Dragons Posted June 26, 2002 Posted June 26, 2002 OK guys - I have a brain stumper for you. Lets say I have an XP system with 4 user accounts on it. Admin, User1 (with admin priveleges), User2, User3. The thing runs fine Admin, user2 and user3. User1 is hosed. I have been wanting to blow this installation away and reinstall XP. So here is the question? Is there a way to preserve the user profile information on a seperate disk while I do 'Xperties' favorite maintenance method Format/FDisk/Reinstall.Thanks - LS_Dragons
Aaron Posted June 26, 2002 Posted June 26, 2002 Right Click My Computer > Properties > Advanced > User Profiles. From there you can select some profiles to save elsewhere. But it doesn't seem to allow you when you're logged in. (It works when logged in Win2k) So log in a Guest and then save the user and admin profiles.
