Hi i'm trying to slip stream this Raid Driver into my windows xp pro image because i don't have a floppy drive.

I've configured my XPCREATE.INI

[XPCREATE]

BOOTIMGFILE=BOOT\XPCTBOOT.BIN

CDBURNER=E:

CDERASE=NO

CDSPEED=MAX

DELISOS=NO

DELROOT=NO

DELTEMP=NO

DOCABS=YES

DOCD=YES

DOISO=YES

DOSATA=YES

DOSVCPACK=YES

DRIVERDIR=$OEM$\$1\DRIVERS

EXITQUIET=NO

OVERWRITEOEM=YES

SILENTINSTALL=YES

XPISO=XPCREATE.ISO

XPSOURCE=H:\XPCD

I've copied all the raid drivers (3 files) into the FILESCD\$OEM$\$1DRIVERS\ path.. like there is no folder in their called raid.. i just put the files straight there.. FASTTRAK.CAT, FASTTRACK.inf and fasttrak.sys. is that all? do i need that txtsetup.oem etc...? thing?

i think i'm spose to put the winnt.sif file in the FILESCD\I386\

but i can't find it??? what is this winnt.sif? after that it says in the raid.htm section of the site.. that i need to Add the appropriate data to the OEMPnPDriversPath setting in WINNT.SIF??? How do i do that? These drivers are the fasttrack lite ones with a laptop.. they aren't listed on that raid.htm page so i'm customly putting it in.. they work i know they do..

So is that all? Do i need any of that CMDLINES.TXT thing? if so where do i get it and wat do i do with it?

Thank you guys so much!!!!

You really should look through the site more before posting a topic thats been covered alot (tho can't blame you as its easy to get confused if you don't know what to do)

Take a look at the following regarding S-ATA drivers listed:

http://www.msfn.org/board/index.php?showto...ndpost&p=111410

and also look at the following post regarding Winnt.sif:

http://www.msfn.org/board/index.php?showto...ndpost&p=117257

this may not completely cover it all but you need to know what you're doing really with regards to winnt.sif - for this you need to look at the main forum of MSFN and search for it if you don't know what it is as its not really to do with xpcreate except that you need to add a line into it if you want to include your drivers but please look at the other posts first.

Also, if you haven't already done so, try creating it as simply as possible first so you know that it works before you try leaping in feet first by adding drivers :)

Good luck & all the best,

Nathan

I do have about all I know on posted on my site ... You certainly want to make a FAILSAFE CD before even attempting the SATA drivers, and test in either Virtual PC or VMWare. Walk be fore you run ... I think I've said that before.
