Hi everyone :) ,

Is this possible to create an unattended Win XP CD installation, but with the text based setup fully attended, with all the options like the recovery console and the possibility to repair my current Win XP installation with the reinstallation ?

By the way, is the "NTUpgrade = Yes" in [unattended] is the way to go when I want to create an unattended CD that is going to repair my current installation by reinstalling itself over it ?

Thanks,

I tried with these options:

[Data]

AutoPartition=0

MsDosInitiated=0

UnattendedInstall=No

[unattended]

UnattendMode=ProvideDefault

OemSkipEula=Yes

OemPreinstall=Yes

UnattendSwitch=Yes

TargetPath=\WINDOWS

FileSystem=*

In the text based setup I still don't have the Recovery and the Repair options. It automatically sends me to the partition selection screen and it offers me to delete my current Windows folder or to choose another directory where to install Windows XP.

So, how do we create an unattented CD that can repair a current installation of Windows XP ?

UnattendSwitch=Yes

You can never do a repair or Recovery with this set to YES.... but, if you set it to NO, it won't use your winnt.sif file or copy any $OEM$ files
